Abraham Anokwuru

I’m a freelancer who runs my own studio “Zaskaii”, in which I work on Art Direction, Animation, Editing & Creative Direction.
I’m also a student at Coventry University studying Digital Media

Evelynn Wenman

I’m a sculptor and avid recycler of objects and fabric to create my art. I work in affordable and accessible materials. While I am an artist in my own right I freelance as an Art Technician and have worked in installing exhibitions. I’m also passionate about organising unusual grassroots performance art events – this also branches out into combining and collaborations between music and art hosted outside of traditional places.

Gemma-Louise Sharman

I am a freelance photographer specialising in various styles and genres.

Grace Boylin

I’m a recording/mixing/mastering engineer and a DJ. I am also looking to turn my music production course ‘sisters in sound’ into a business.

Josh Blincow

I am an illustrator/graphic designer/writer/game designer beginning a career in analogue tabletop roleplaying games, a very supportive indie industry & art movement.

I run a blog writing games & ttrpg cultural analysis, am waiting publication of a book i wrote & illustrated for a small indie RPG publisher, write and publish my own games from my home & studio space at Ludic Rooms in the canal basin, and am currently working toward building enough material to operate a stall at arts/crafts fairs introducing new audiences to games and play, as well as intending to run workshops and coalesce the midlands scene of designers who are otherwise only loosely connected online – long term I hope to build to a position where I can provide the kind of local organising this design movement needs & bring its lessons to other designers/communicators/artists and provide people with the tools they need to observe and design their own solutions in their communities through play and communication.

A key refrain in my work is the idea that “games model the social”, and even though I wear many hats I think of my practice as being about designing tools for people to imagine new possibilities and build their own tools to their own ends.

Josh Leach

I have several creative practices/skillsets across animation, graphics/illustration, film, music (composing+singing) performance, public speaking. writing.

My most recent film work combines a passion for jungian psychology with animation. I’ve shared some of my work at Overlap social in birmingham as well as performed live-animation alongside musicians.

This year I have been writing and sharing music, specifically pop songs at ‘AUX’ a recurring event @ Pirate Studios in Birmingham.

I wrote an ‘ADHD Survival Kit’ ebook and have been successfully selling it on TikTok. I plan to develop workshops, coaching and public speaking around the book and find a way to merge it with my other creative skillsets in music and animation.

Joshua Manley

I am a freelance videographer in Coventry. I handle everything from initial recording to post production. I have already completed one short documentary for a local charity. My dream is to mostly work on documentaries for charities, particularly those without much of a social media presence, with the aim of championing them and the people they help by giving them a platform. This platform would probably culminate in a social media brand that champions all of them in one place alongside their individual socials.

Kevin Mujinga

I have been creating video content on and off for around 8 years, building up an array of video editing, cinematography and production skills. I want to pair this with my logistical and project management skills and specialise in creative direction, the strategic oversight and guidance of the entire creative vision for a brand, campaign, or project.

I studied Media Production at Coventry College and Music and Sound Design at Manchester Metropolitan University where I engaged in an array of interesting creative projects around music and poetry such performing poetry in New York for an alumni event as part of my scholarship.

I have just creative directed my first project, a collaborative music project that I oversaw the marketing strategy, planning the video content and bringing the vision to life with location scouting and project schedules.

Lèna-Awa Sall

My creative work combines both film and photography, though lately I’ve been leaning more into photography as a way to explore concepts that give space for artistic freedom. I would like to explore more and create images that are a little poetic or surreal, whether working outdoors with natural light or in a studio setting with simple setups.

Storytelling is an important part of my work. I like making images and films that leave space for reflection and different interpretations. Alongside personal projects, I’ve also worked on events, short films, and social media content, which has allowed me to collaborate with people from different backgrounds and communities.

Naomi Reid

I’m a visual artist based in the West Midlands. My work explores the relationship between printmaking and textile design. I often incorporate archival photography and illustration, drawing inspiration from my upbringing in Coventry within a multicultural family. At its core, my practice is a deeply personal and spiritual process—one that allows me to navigate and better understand my identity as a mixed-heritage woman. Through making, I explore questions of belonging, memory, and cultural inheritance, using my creative work as a means to locate myself within a wider social and historical context.

Olivia Marie

I started out as a performer with The Fabularium, however due to my health issues I started directing around the same time, which is what I focus on now. I have created feminist work, large community pieces and one-person shows. Always looking for inspirations and new ideas!

Saba Qazi

I am a writer, poet and multi-disciplinary artist. I’m currently developing my writing skills and music knowledge to be able to further my creative practice and make it into a full time career in future.

Sophie Jones-Davies

I have worked in the arts for a number of years in varying capacities but I have, in the recent years, come to realise that my great passion is in Producing and I wish to develop more experience and skills within this.

Thomas Green

I am currently in the process of transitioning from traditional full time work to freelance creative practice. I am working with a CIC that specialises in inclusive and accessible circus and aerial arts and I’m developing my skills in this practice.

Tom Godwin

I am a visual artist based in Coventry. My practice focuses on using experimental photography and videography to create surreal, visually striking views of the future that are open to interpretation from the viewer. Visual storytelling is very important to my practice. As someone with dyslexia I find it easier to communicate and learn visually, images offer a more direct and intuitive way to express ideas and concepts and this is something I incorporate into my work.

A re occurring theme in my work is the examination of our interactions with nature and our role in shaping the landscapes of the future. I am fascinated with the ongoing battle between man-made and natural landscapes and how nature is always trying to reclaim its territory. My practice is heavily influenced by science fiction, particularly its evolving depictions of the future from utopian to apocalyptic depending on the societal anxieties and hopes of the world at the time of creation.
