Transformations is a project for 16-30 year olds who are not currently in education, employment or training.
Our latest Transformation project – Transformations 9 – ACTIVATE started on Thursday 2nd December and runs until May 2022.
We are still looking for young people who are interested in the creative or technical side of live events and outdoor arts to join us on our next FREE training programme.
No formal qualifications are required, just an interest in sound design, art engineering and design or those who want to know how to put on an event?

More about ACTIVATE
Participates from our Transformation 9 programme for NEETS will collaborate with students and young environmental activists and a creative producer to programme and deliver Turning the Tide’ An Ocean Fair. This will be a family-friendly event where audiences can experience the wealth of our oceans and the major threats it faces, and how we can all play a part in Ocean recovery. The event will include VR, sound, film, exhibition, performance and hands-on experiences. There will be a marketplace to have conversations with local, nationally and global environmental organisations to find out how to get involved in ocean recovery and take action in the #30×30 campaign.
‘Turning the Tide’ is delivered by Imagineer in partnership with Media Mania.
What is Transformations
Young people work at The Daimler Powerhouse on authentic commissions and projects. They meet professional artists, engineers, sound and lighting designers and creative industry specialists. As they work, they gain insight into all aspects of the creation of outdoor and site-specific work, events and festivals and develop skills in production, performance and construction.
Many young people who have completed Transformations have gone on to gain entrance into University, further training, apprenticeships or developed the confidence to pursue other career and life goals.
Transformations is made possible by generous support from:
European Union Social Fund

Talent MatchAmbition Coventry
The Heart of England Foundation

“I am extremely grateful to have been a part of Transformations. The experiences were incredibly valuable, learning and developing new skills in a hands-on approach. It was inspiring to work alongside and interact with industry professionals; I felt that a whole new world of different processes and techniques when working towards creative projects was opened up to me. Also, it developed my own creative confidence, being able to bring forward my own ideas towards different projects. The Transformations experience was essential to my own personal development; helping me to learn and grow, not just as a creative but as a person.
Thank you for everything!”
