Welcome to a zone of brilliant young Cov talent, innovation and creativity, presented by Imagineer Productions and Media Mania at the Godiva Festival, 5-7 Jul in War Memorial Park.
The PYZ includes a wealth of local and upcoming talent, including music on the Resonate Stage from Caroline Bomb, KAP ft. DJ Newtown and Serena Jasmine. Take a ride on a cycle-powered, steampunk carousel and meet a six-metre-high Lady Godiva. Imagineer’s Transformations programme will present live street art with Grit Arts, and giant puppets with Autin Dance Theatre.
You can head into the creative tent for denim-recycling-heaven (bring your old jeans) and don’t miss the ‘Phoenix Rising from the Trashes’, take a snap in the DJ Shack. Watch the nifty moves of Elite Dance, GAPA, Rebel Manifesto, Open Theatre and Hoops in Space.
Special signage created by Sam Williams Studios Ltd and Transformations, with professional development and participant support from Extraordinary Us - and get to know some of our amazing local youth service providers across the zone… and much, much more!
The Powerhouse Youth Zone is funded by Coventry City Council, Arts Council England, Youth Music and the Torrington Fund (Heart of England Community Foundation). Transformations is supported by The National Lottery Community Fund.
