Jack’s Frogs feature in Coventry’s Show Windows

Currently on display at the old IKEA building Dancing Frogs is part of a wider project imagined by artist Jack Foulks when he heard about plans to uncover the River Sherbourne in Coventry.

Jack imagined that, when the river was opened up, hundreds of frogs would leap out and jump around the city.

Moving mechanical parts bring Jack’s sculptures to life in this lively display, depicting a frog’s full life cycle from frogspawn and tadpole to froglet and frog, all dancing in the window together.

A young local artist, Jack has been working with Imagineer and Open Theatre for a number of years and a projection of his dancing frogs recently featured in Ludic Room’s Random String festival where it was projected onto the side of our Daimler Powerhouse building.
